New BBQ Grill!

I have a Holland Grill. Its got cast iron burner, stainless grates, and both are guaranteed for life. And to boot its guaranteed flareless. So when you get those good hamburgers you dont have to worry about putting the fire out lol.

 

 

just looked at those Holland grills... pretty slick. i think you sold me on one when i move into a house this summer! can't beat AMERICAN MADE!

Made in the USA or Canada to me we dont make that great of products anymore. I would rather by a german product or jap product.

 

For the most part we cant compete in price because are workers make alot more compared to other companies and for the most part the mind set of the typical USA worker and Canadian worker is pretty lazy and all about me.

 

We will change jobs like 5 times . A jap man considers his job almost like family and those germans they have always made top quality products.

 

Alot of our AMERICAN MADE products are just assembled in north american but all the components are made in other countries and those components are the harder part . Screwing together a few pieces of metal or something is the easy part.

 

Yes there are some good products made in North america but few of those products I would actually consider American products and would call them more put together in America. A good example I can commercial fish in Canada get fish. Then I sell it in the USA they package/process it and market it and put on it MADE IN THE USA . Even tho its a Canadian product.

 

This happens all the time with our products. A computer is a good example to every part in the computer is made in like south Korea or china or India or something and then those parts are shipped to the USA and some joker snaps the pieces in a plastic shell puts in like 10 screws and puts a sticker on it saying its a USA product.

 

Then when something is actually truly a USA product they go really cheap on it because we cant compete with other countries wages and they can copy something the exact same but at like a quarter of the cost .

 

and you cant say North Americans buy top quality products . We buy the cheapest products at the best value . Wall mart makes alot of good cheap good value products and more than 50 percent of those products are not made in north America.

 

I actually cant even think on the top of my head 10t American products right now. Ipods are not . Most of are trucks are not . Alot of the suppliers are from other countries I think and we even have gm plants in mexico. Most of the comps we use are not a USA product and if they say they are there not really a USA product just assemble here.

 

Military products I am assuming are USA made for security reasons.

I have a USA made Henry lever action .22 rifle and its just amazing, way better than the foreign assembled browning bl22 and them. Some domestic things are top notch and always will be. Just sayinggg.

 

Ps. Not hating on browning too much, my 12ga is a browning bps ad it kicks ass.

Our Webers have always treated us well. Have a gas and a charcoal. The key is keeping your grates clean, always spray em down and wire brush after each use. Doesn't hurt to clean the grease trap either.

I bought my first Weber (Spirit 210) 3 yrs ago for $399, and it has exceeded performance and reliability standards of any of the few grilles I have owned in the past.

 

All of the cheapo wal-mart model gas grilles i have owned would be falling apart within a year. My Weber still looks and operates like brand new!

When I bought my Weber Genesis ~3 years ago, I plumbed it for natural gas; got tired of making propane runs and keeping spare tanks around in 100+ degree heat. Best all around grilling move I ever made.

We have a vermont castings we got approx 8+ years ago from HD when i worked there. At the time it was compared to webers, but we only paid $400 for it! It was a older model that was clearanced down from $7-800....

Its been extremely solid and as of this past winter was the first time i had to do maintenance on it. The plastic wheels fell apart from the very rough cracks we drag it over in backyard over the years. So i put on some solid wheels I had laying around from a old cabinet. The burners were starting to fall apart even tho they were stainless, So new burners, and a quick coat of bbq black 1200 degree pain on the one part that was not a powder coat finish like the rest and it looks brand new again! This should last at least another 10+ years until possibly new burners again.. Other than that , it pays to buy quality.

Previous to this grill , we bought a new $2-300 grill every couple years.. Not worth the hassle and waste of $!

I have to give a big thumbs up to my Chargriller Duo with the side burner and side smoker box. On the 4th, I smoked ribs for 6 hours, & grilled chicken breast. On the gas grill section, I cooked foil wrapped veggies, then corn on the cob. The side burner holds a chimney starter perfectly to start the charcoal, so that makes it real easy to get a fire started. The versatility makes it great. The quality is also very good for a $300 grill. A Big Green Egg or replica will be in the future.

I have 5 outdoor cookers. I cook outside probably on average 4 times a week even in winter. The BGE gets about 80% of the use since I got it 2 years ago. I have a 7 year old gas Weber Genesis that is still good as new and gets used nearly everytime I don't use the egg and most of the time before I got the egg. Nothing beats the flavour of hardwood cooking, but it is nice to have the gasser when you want to grill something quickly.

I've always wanted to build a brick BBQ. With an area beside it where I could cook a pig underground. Since I'm in the market for a house right now that's becoming a possibility!

Cajun Fryer Smoking Cajun Grill. Very well built and built right here by hand in good ol' Louisiana. Best grill I have ever owned. The body is carbon but it is thick, whole package weighs close to 250 lbs without the bottle. If anyone has any experience with their fryers you know the quality I am talking about. Will easily get to 650 deg F for a good sear on a steak and will cook all day at 200 deg if you are slow cooking. You just have to get used to a grill that sounds like a fish cooker, which was pretty hard at first. It takes a little bit to get used to cooking on but once you do it does a great job. I had been looking at a sereus looking grill for some time now. I have been a charcoal guy since first got to use grill. I had used some kick ass grills at my friends houses and i sort of see what's the point. But there is something nice about charcoal that remainds me of childhood.
