Took out my HID headlights today...

So all of a sudden my HID low beam kit started acting up. Sometimes both bulbs would come on, sometimes one, sometimes neither. If they didn't come on, they would flicker for a second and then go out. Of the 8 DDM Tuning kits in my vehicles, I've not had this happen before. They were installed on a relay harness hooked up directly to the battery. Out of frustration I removed them and put the stock halogens back in because it is waaaaay to freaking cold out today to try to troubleshoot.

 

Has anyone else had this experience? My guess is the bulbs are torched...

So weird that both would be bad and start acting up at the same time....guess I've been lucky with all my others

I just ordered a set of the new Silverstar ZXE H11's to throw in until warm weather comes. Watched a video online and they are actually pretty impressive. They will at least look better with my HID fogs than the standard halogens do.
