Armor All deterioration rumor

Years ago Armorall formula had a lot of alcohol in it, which caused drying. In combination with the heavy amounts of silicone used it was a combination that would (over time) dry and cause cracking of interior plastics. They've since removed the alcohol content, but its still VERY heavily silicone based so it puts a nasty, sticky shine on everything. You want to use a water based product for cleaning and conditioning your interior, not silicone, and something that finishes with a matte or factory look, not an oil slick - simply b/c your dash can cause glare/reflection and be a legitimate driving hazard.

FWIW - our stuff is all water based, our Leather & Interior Products work on both leather seats, as well as interior plastic, vinyl, etc.

Its a 2 part system... 1 product for cleaning, 1 product for conditioning/protecting. Beware anything that claims to clean and protect in one step... it may do both, but given the opposite nature of the 2 processes it likely won't do either very well. Additionally our Leather & Interior Conditioner has SPF65 the highest UV protection we know to exist in such products. This means excellent protection for your dash and interior against sun fade and UV damage. All made in the USA (bottles, caps, and sprayers as well. Not just the chemical like many companies)

I believe we are due to see the shipment tomorrow... but with truckloads this time of year its always hard to say. The roads get icy and a lot of these LTL carriers cancel stops.

I have a Four Wheel Camper with pop up vinyl sides. The manufacturer recommends and includes http://www.303products.com/ with its campers. They also specifically warn against Armor All. 303 protectant works great and gets excellent reviews.

Google Armor All problems and damage for an afternoons worth of reading.

I recently put a Roll-N-Lock Vinyl bed cover on my 2012 Silverado and it came with a small bottle of 303 protectant. I started using on everything from like leather seats, dash, tires and rubber/plastic trim pieces. Can be purchased online at Amazon.com.

My experience with it seems to show that it induces a sort of dry-rot on exterior window seals. They seem to get all splotchy and dry.

Just my two cents...
