Body Lift

I have a question about body lifts. I know that you relocate the bumpers and all, but what about the hitch on the back? Is there a big gap between it and the bumper? And does anyone have a pic of what it would potentially look like?

The hitch doesn't move. So It's going to look like it's 2"-3" lower depending on the size you pick.

Some guys just leave the bumper alone, and put a piece of diamond plate or something in the gap between the bed and bumper. Then, your hitch will look the same.

Don't the HD trucks have a different cap (the black plastic portion on the top of the bumper) that actually sits up higher than the 1500's bumper to help eliminate some of that gap? Also this might be a dumb question but other than having beefed up components is the HD versions of our trucks basically taller due to having a factory body lift?

The only reason the body sits off the frame higher is because of the Allison transmission being bigger. Instead of having to build 2 different floor pans for the trucks they just made it to where they would sit up higher to clear it.
