Driver's side seat borken

Right under the head rest. It feels like a piece of the frame where my right shoulder blade would rest is broken. Would it be possible to take the cover and padding off to fix this?

 

04 Silverado btw, non-power seat, type with the seat belt built in.

yes you can ,IT IS A PITA ,but have fun and no ,there is no real procedure,just have a LIGHT source and take your time ..

 

remove the seat assembly first to make it easier

I had to replace the frame in the section of the seat that goes under my ass. Like the one response said, take the entire seat out first. Like you, I don't have power seats, that made me glad I didn't.
