New wheels and tires finally installed

Finally got my new wheels and tires installed this weekend! Wheels are 17x9 KMC XD addicts, with +18mm offset. As far as I have been able to see I dont have to trim anything. Its close but looks like I should be good, I'll know after a week or so for sure. Anyway the tires are 285/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler MTR's. I'm pretty happy with it. Its nice to finally be done for awhile and have some of my weekends back! Anyway Thanks for looking!

Thanks man! Yeah I was a little dissappointed when I saw that the little "bolts" around the edge are actually plastic, but Im not that worried, if they are threaded in I'll replace them with some chrome or stainless bolts.

Nice truck . So question wheels are called rims and tires are called tires right ?

I just thought the term wheels meant tires vice versa and rims meant the new peice of metal you put your wheel on or tire .

I suppose theres really no wrong way of saying it, technically "wheel" refers to the whole package, at least thats why our old shop teacher used to say haha. either way usually people get what your saying so I would even worry about it

Same thing happened to me with the plastic bolts, I actually ordered those wheels and sent them back when I found out. It's no big deal, alot of wheels have plastic parts including mine. How much room do you have around the brake caliper? I've been thinking of going with some 17x9 myself, but heard it was tight.

Those rims look really good!

As far as caliper to rim clearance, I don't think it's an issue? It's close on my 06, but it's not an issue at all, most came with 17's.

Mine also came with 17's, it just seems like I read somewhere that when you get into aftermarket wheels with 0 or -12 offset that it was very tight.

Thanks man, I really love the way they look

As far as 17's,Yep pretty much. My truck came stock with 17s so yeah it looks pretty close but no fitment issues, and the tires are substantially cheaper!

Huh, never heard anything about the offset affecting that, Mine are +18 so I cant say for sure what a 0 or -12 would do

I can't believe how much pricier they are, saw some Terra Grapplers for $375 (20s I think). The next set of 17's for my truck is gonna be about $190 a piece, and that's with a 50k mile warranty and road hazard. And installation.
