Drivers side grab handle

Hello,

What would be the best choice for a grab handle on the drivers side of a 2012 Silverado 1500? Would like it to look pretty stock and attach to the drivers side A piller. Would something like a passenger side grab from a junk yard off a 2011 or 2010 work on the drivers side. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you handicapped? I suppose a passenger side one would work. You need to remove that A-pillar panel to make sure you aren't drilling through a wire harness before you mount it.

Not handicapped, but my wife is short and can't get in without pulling the steering wheel.

^{I'm not short either and I use the wheel to get in. Mine is a 4x4 so it does sit higher. How about some nice side steps? And why is your Wife driving your truck?}

pass wont work, it has its own bolts

I think you might actually have to weld some nuts into the pillar in order to screw in the handle, if you did add one otherwise there is nothing for the bolts to screw into. I'm not sure that would be so good for the paint. And the last time I had my pillar cover off on the driver's side (2011 1500) there were wires and other side curtain airbag things running in there with no way to drill through. Personally, I wouldn't touch it.
