Yep, you read that right - I traded the 2011 crew cab for another 2011 crew cab. I was killing time today and stopped by the local chevy dealer. They had a 2011 demo 6.2L Z71 4x4 with only 6000 miles . I wound up trading my 2011 5.3L z71 4x2 with 33,000 miles for the demo.

Here's the kicker, my payment went down by $50 a month!

I gotta say that the 6.2L is a powerful engine! I love this thing. They need to upgrade that 5.3 soon.

I must resign my membership from the black truck club and join the white truck club now....

Nice... any pics?

Nice job less on the monthly payments and a side order of a 6.2 that kicks ass. Congrats enjoy the new toy.

Highspeedvehicle, i will say, you have my favorite color truck.. love that maroon/burgandy color. My 2000 T/A was the same color.. love it.

I actually didn't want white when I got my truck, but since I got such a great deal, I didn't mind.

The color kind of grows on you.

Another thing is if it is kept clean and shiny it will not look like just an old white truck.

I love my 09 Silverado.

If I was able to trade up to a 6.2 of the same year for the same payment or cheaper I would without a doubt. The only way I would be able to get away with it though is to get the exact same optione my 5.3 has......Not easy, been looking for a while now. If my "other half" found out I traded there would probably be trouble! That's why I need one wit hthe same appearance package and interior options. Would also have to pu exhaust on it right away.

She wasn't happy when I came home with a new Cruze a few weeks ago, can only imagine what would happen if I got a different truck.

Sounds like you have plenty of money. So she shouldn't complain as long as she can still shoe shop!

my wife makes the money, so I have to make sure she is happy! She buys as many shoes as she wants.... LOL!

That's one helluva deal! Congratulations! Now we need pictures and reports on what you think of the 6.2L

Sorry but I don't see how a 2011 5.3L w/ 33,000 2WD goes for more then a 2011 6.2L w/ 6000 4x4 especially with them giving you wholesale value on your trade in.

Your payment must have gone down because it was taken out over a longer term or you found one hell of an interest rate. But none the less, if its night and day with towing it doesn't really matter as long as you're happy with it.

I got some rebates and 0% APR on this one so payment went down (same amount of months). In the long term overall payout of the loan, I will pay much less on this one since there is no interest on the loan. We work hard on keeping our credit rating high - we mostly pay cash and only finance large purchases when there is an option to pay it off with no interest or same as cash. Then, we close the account so we don't have open balances on our credit.
