Lowering a 4wd???

Considering lowering my 95 Yukon 4wd a little.  Not a lot, just a couple of inches (aside from taking the 3" body lift off).  Can this be done?  Is it as simple as cranking the torsion bars down in the front and some lowering shackles in the rear?  Will lowering the front this way make it impossible to align?  Thanks for the help.

Sell your 4 wheel drive and buy a 2 wd.  Why would you want to do that to a 4wd??

FYI 4wd comes in handy to get onto certain construction sites I visit for work.  I don't need a lot of ground clearance for construction sites.

I've seen it done, but I don't have the details.  Since you're not slamming, I wouldn't see a problem with alignment.  In theory, if cranking the torsion bars up gives height, cranking down should lower.  Either way a kit would still be needed, at least for the rear.

 

Was the LIMITED ever a 4WD or a 2WD only?

 

Maybe the rear springs/shakles from a LIMITED and the crank down of the torsion bars will lower to your liking.

I looked up some info on bell-tech's kits and looks like they have one for the 4wd adjustable in front (1-3") and 3" drop in the rear.  Not sure if I'd want to drop a full 3", but its good to know there are options available.
