Bilstein's and 2" RC

I went with the Bilsteins 5100 set at the .58" setting and 2" RC up front. I also installed the 3" Ready Lift block kit in the back. Passenger side front is 39 1/4, drivers side is 38 1/2.

 

So I swapped the passenger side with the drivers side thinkin I was dealing with a weaker spring and I would prefer the 39 1/4 on the drivers side and my weight (260lbs) would balance things out perfectly but it stayed the same.

 

Why do I still have 38 1/2 on the drivers side? I thought I would see the measurements flip flop but they did not, they actually stayed the same. So why the 3/4" difference and why didn't they flip flop?

I would just put the ring up one knotch on the lower side. That should even it out. Make sure everything is seated properly too. And don't forget the pictures.

I just spent the last 30 minutes trying to figure out how to post pics with no luck. I did manage to add a profile pic.

 

I did not want an overly stiff ride and I wanted 2.5 inches up front. So I decided to compromise with setting them at the 2nd groove and getting the remaining 2" with the RC. Not sure if my thinking was correct (less preload in spring by only using the 2nd groove) or if adding the RC spacer does the same thing.

 

Looking back and after driving it for awhile I think the top groove would have been just fine. The Bilsteins really do improved the ride.

I would have thought by swapping the passenger side with drivers side I would essentially flip flop the lean from one side to the other and it did not. So with that said I do not think moving the clip up one notch would solve my problem. I'm puzzled...

Just adjust the shock on the lower side, raising it up a notch, to even out your truck. Essentially you'll be lifting one side more than the other.

So what is the cause of the lean? Is the weight of the truck not distributed evenly? Steering/front end geometry?
