Well JrocK, Hodges25 color matched bowtie looks awesome, so now what? I suppose I'd consider what you're doing to your truck in the future. If your going to put on chrome wheels or chrome step bars etc., maybe color match, if your going to go with the black wheel set up, you could do step bars in black also, and then the black bowties would tie it all in and look sweet. Either way it'll look sick. I've got you covered with both my stock emblems(front and rear) if you need them. The one off of the back of my truck is still in the chrome base, I used fishing line to separate it from my tailgate, the one off of the front just unbolted from the grill. Pull the trigger and post some pics, the suspense is killing me...

HAHA yea man.. the color matched looks damn good. I think i will be going with the black though. I see black wheels / step bars / tints in my future... I plan to shoot the rear emblem this saturday. You know i'll be posting the pics!

I'll be waiting for the pics. And since you're going to the "dark side", there are some nice blacked out Z71 stickers on ebay. I'd post the link, but I seem to post the whole freakin' page when I try. When you buy the new rims and tires, are you keeping the stockers for the New York winters or selling them to me for the Iowa winters?

Oh well, it was worth a shot. Just search black Z71 stickers on ebay...Also consider the rear wheel house liners. They will darken up the wells, and keep light from showing through from the other side. I also got a rock between the well and the truck bed on my '07 that put a nasty outward dimple in my quarter panel. They go in easy, about a hundred bucks. Sell me those wheels & tires and you can buy a bunch of 'em!

Much better colormatched....That gold just doesn't work with every color. I pulled mine the first day I had the truck and replaced it with a nice polished emblem to match my grille. Looked terrible on the black colormatched front end.

Agreed, and polished is def the way to go with black
