Performance for 99 k2500 5.7 350 4x4

hey guys, I am looking to get more power and torque from a 350 what performance upgrades can I do? i'm on a fair budget of 2500 dollars, thanks. (Already has true dual exhaust)

that's what I was thinking... but with long tube headers, wouldn't you get little power gains on a pretty much stock 350?

Yea you would be better off throwing a set of shortys on there that bolt right up to the stock pipes.Im in the same boat this is my plans,cam,Electric fan,and a tune probably from wheatley dont go for that hand held bs.I want to do a 383 stroker but the motor has no problems and has great oil pressure so i dont have a good enough reason.you really get the shorty headers first i did great improvement.

Yea i was going to get the whole comp cams package http://www.compperformancegroupstores.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CC&Product_Code=K08-420-8, since i'm upgrading one part of the valvetrain, I probably want to improve rockers,lifters etc. And for the shortys should i get the stainless steel JBA's? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GIB-GP102S-C/

i summit racing which are actually pacesetter headers for 200 shipped.thats a retrofit cam which is not for roller blocks it requires a thrust button and wear plate.I was looking at the LT4 hot cam.

lol last question, so if i get a performance cam, should i get news rockers,lifters,pushrods etc?

I always thought that if you went to a new cam that you should replace the rockers, lifters, etc.

I would... it's not that much more.

No need to replace rockers unless needed,Roller rockers are a nice way to reduce friction and and valve steam wear.If i do a cam.I do the timing gears,timing chain,lifters and check for bent pushrods if the pushrod are go they go back in.
