Rust on Oval side steps again!

Finally got a response back from rust on running boards, blamed it on environment and stone chips, so not going to change them for me, but they will only charge me 1/3 of what they are worth to buy. Hmm great deal, 2 sets already, both rusted, what are the odds this will happen again? Who in their right mind would jump on that great offer. Spend over 600 bucks cant even get 3.5 months of winter out of them. So much for Gm quality!

Odds are around 100%. I'd find a different brand if I was you.

Isn't it nice when they downgrade quality, and then don't stand behind it? (sense any sarcasm?)

Like I told my buddies, on my next ride, I'll be doing a lot of reconnaissance on quality/reliability. I bought my last GM based on my past experieneces with GM (them being flawless). Not getting screwed over again....

FYI,

If you find black angle brackets on your garage floor, they are from these POS GM side steps. I found a mangled one laying on the floor one day. Didn't know where it came from. Went camping, and saw a bracket pointing up behind the front tire. Its the brackets that get riveted to the steps to hold the plastic end caps on. If you happened to step on the end cap, it pulls the rivets out of the step, and they fall out.

Nice GM, nice..... I'd be stupid p*ssed if I didn't catch it on the weekend and it went through the tire....
