Towed my enclosed trailer today using my 7 to 4 adapter and when I unhooked the trailers flat 4 plug was real hot. I never really took notice before but is that normal?

I wouldn't think so, I towed a UHaul trailer with a 7-4 adaptor from NH to Michigan when I moved and it wasn't ever hot when I checked the chains and other stuff at each gas stop. Are all the lights on the trailer functional? All the connections clean?

I'm gonna clean all the connections tomorrow and see what happens and all the lights are working. The weird thing is I only towed it about 3 miles
