Memory Sticks

Not sure if this will help anyone or not, so here goes. I've had a few memory sticks that worked fine in my USB port (2011 K2500). I had a 32 Gb stick loaded w/ music, but lost it. I replaced it w/ another 32 Gb stick which was a POS. More often than not the stereo couldn't find it after multiple plug ins. Then when it did work, it would not "restart" after the truck was turned off & restarted.

 

I was in an electronic store & saw their display of memory sticks. Some were secure & others were called standard. I was kind of thinking the "useless" stick I had was a secure model (it had been formatted). I picked up an standard stick, loaded my music onto it & tried it in the truck & the music played after 5 or so seconds. When the truck is turned off & restarted (music stops) the song restarts where it stopped.
