Chris Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 Bushmaster BFC-15 M4 style AR with no front sight post and an EOTech EXPS2-0 HOLOgraphic sight, and I got my mom a Rock Island 1911A1
hzhardy Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 nice, to bad that you have to have a bullet button. Can you put in a 20 or 30 round mag with bullit button and be legal or are you stuck with the 10 rnd? I really like the rock island 1911. I am looking at a RI or citadal (same mfg) for a 3" barreled 1911. The kimbers and other high end guns are to tight of tolerances for defense. You want it a bit loose so it will work dirty if it has to when your life depends on it. I've been told the original GI .45 rattled when you shook them. I currently have a Para Ord GI expert that i have put in over 500 rnds and love it. it has never jamed except for when new due to me limp wristing it as I had never shot a 1911 before. the lock up is pretty tight on it and shoots great. I keep it pretty clean though.
Chris Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 Technically it will fit, but to have one in CA is a felony. I will buy one when I go to Utah and leave it with my friend there
BlackZ71Silverado Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Bushmaster BFC-15 M4 style AR with no front sight post and an EOTech EXPS2-0 HOLOgraphic sight, and I got my mom a Rock Island 1911A1 Good choice going with the Bushmaster. The thing that sucks is your in Cali. and can only have a 10rd. magazine and it's got to have that stupid bullet button !!!! When you leave Cali., pick up some 30 rounders and have some fun
Chris Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 I'm going to Utah because my old room mate is now stationed there, and the best part is he is in the same city as my cousins who have a huge collection. I will be purchasing a couple 30 rd mags and probably leaving them with my friend because he wants an AR. I almost went with a Sig M400 but I didn't want the front sight visible in the new sight so I opted for the "Optics Ready" version of the Bushmaster. I also purchased 3 extra 10 rd mags, a rifle gong, and some self resetting steel targets for the pistols from Midway. Ill have those before I have the gun, Damn waiting period
hzhardy Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 The wait period is interesting though it varies state to state. I was at the gun shop and a police office purchased a new hand gun and had to wait, but since i have my CCW there is no wait for me. That is odd huh.
Chris Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 10 for both handguns and knfilters guns here. Not sure how the cow works here with that Sent from my PIECE OF CRAP DROID X2 using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
SarahsGMC Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Guns are a good investment Sent from my truck using TAPATALK
kstruckcountry Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 How much was the EOtech? Let me know how much you like it.
STINSAN3 Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 If I was you, pay off whatever you have that is highest,,,,,Then save it, If I had $12K, I would pay my truck off...then I would have 5K to put down on a new car or 4wheeler
kstruckcountry Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Was it worth it? Need one for my M4...
Chris Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Haven't shot with it yet. I don't even have the gun yet, just the sight. I can pick up the gun Saturday. Here's the sight
kstruckcountry Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Looks nice, you'll have to let me know how you like it once it's on.
