2011 Sierra 1500 SLT

My 2011 Sierra SLT has less than 5K miles and has developed what I call a squeaking that sounds like it's right under the steering wheel. Only get it at low speed when wheel is being cranked, and seems to be happening when wheel is on the return after turn made. Dealer states that no TSB's for this problem on late model GMC pickups.

I have not seen a thread reporting a similiar problem (not that I read them all) and my 2010 does not do it. So not sure but the dealer needs to fix it. Just because there is no TSB does not mean they don't need to take care of it.

Yes, agree that they need to fix and they are willing to try, however, service mgr. and service tech don't know what is causing the problem, so thought I'd run it by the forum to see if anyone else has had this problem and might have a simple solution before the dealer does "exploratory surgery" on my new truck.

Maybe a bad or mis-installed clock-spring??
