95 Blazer "W" VIN Spark Plugs

How do you guys get this plug out?  I've even had it up on a lift with the tire off and the steering shaft is still in the way.  Any ideas?  I really gotta get this plug out ASAP, its a few thousand miles since I changed the other 5.

Use a socket with a hex end on it, and then use an open end wrench.

What GDS said.  Also, if the socket has a rubber grommet inside, it helps to remove it.

 

I've done wayyyyyy to many of those 4.3 plugs.    Be thankful, the 95+'s are the toughest, so if you can do it on yours, you'll be able to do it on any S-Series truck.

I changed the plugs on my 92 S-10 blazer last year and the one you are describing was the worst .

I ended up doing the whole wrench thing on the end of the socket as described in an earlier post .

It took me 10 mins to take out the 5 other ones when it took me 20 mins trying to think of how to take out that pesky one

Yup, I went through the same thing w/ my 97'.  Ended up using a socket and open end adjustable wrench.
