Only Asking those with SUV experience. If you don't understand lack of rear end weight in a truck being a factor, please seek an online rudimentary physics course.

Finally got a custom tune on the Tahoe. I couldn't wait to have Torque Management turned off. See what my combo of mods could do.

Now, I know that these are some heavy vehicles, especially my loaded LTZ 4x4.

In 2WD, floored from a standstill.(no loading while on brakes) it won't break loose. Not a hint of tire spin.

I got the Diablew tune, which has gotten rave reviews from people here and performance trucks forum seems to favor him, so its not like I found some hack to do it. You can still feel it hold back a little until 15 mph or so, so its better than it was.

that answers it. What the heck is going on with mine. Any thoughts on what My issue was. Lee said he lowered it more that the regular diablo tune. So I'm guessing its probably half of what it was, yet yours with full tm could do that.

Are you turning off your stabilitrack?

Also, do remember, as you said, it's a giant freaking brick. I have a 2008 LTZ 4X4 on 22's and I am always pleasantly surprised with how well it gets out of its own way with the 'Vette servo and BBP tune.

EDIT: My sig pic is just old.

ill try that next.

All my other cars will break it loose with TC on. In fact, every vehicle I have had with TC. I think every one I have driven.

once it hits 20 mph it goes like a bat out of....

Mine would with all the traction control on. Maybe it was the K&N filter  Mine was also 2wd doubt that matters much

tried it with it off. It got from the start a bit better, and on one of two attempts ALMOST broke loose.

There is no way they cooper discoverer tires are THAT good.

I'm not sure why spinning the tires on a Tahoe is something that needs achieved but it sounds like you need to contact your tuner or start considering engine mods if it's that important to you. :dunno:

Lol, I'm not planning on just leaving rubber everywhere. I did a WOT run for my tuners log and just went straight with no drama. With the mods I should be doing it easily.

What's the gearing you have? I can hardly break loose with my tune and I partially blame my 3.23 gearing. Hoping to change the gearing come Jan/ Feb.

Just wait until it snows, and if it won't spin 'em then you've got something to worry about.

MrsBlue's 07 Hoe doesn't have any trouble.

I realized I have a pre tune.log I can look at. Looks like I ran 7 -60 around in a little over 8 seconds. So I'm around .5 or so faster than stock before the custom tune. I'll do a proper 0-60 while logging someday soon, my computer is still relearning From the first tune
