This is very true sir! I wish a new vehicle was could be in the cards but all my extra money is heading to the savings for the ring, wedding, and then down payment on a house. I currently rent a farmhouse from the family, and I'm hoping to either purchase it when my grandfather stops farming and rents all the land out, or find another starter home. The girl and I have been made pretty aware that our familes don't have much to give towards a wedding so we will be footing the bill for that too, which I kind of like more. I told her it will give us a sense of pride when it is over.

Anyway... sorry for the long story, work is slow this morning.

Dont let the cluster steppers scare you either. I had my Speedo stepper go out on my '03 Z71 and i had a couple bulbs out. I wire stuff for a living and and awesome with a soldering iron so it's no big deal to tear into it but there are a ton of video's online on how to do it and the steppers/bulbs can be had on ebay for about $35-50 depending where you get them. i also have always LOVED the SS silverado(my dad had a black one in '03) and always wanted one but it was hard to find one for a good price when i was looking...

It certainly sounds like your headed in the right direction and have your priorities straight. As for the wedding, even though it's not your decision(trust me, it isn't), simple and elegant is the way to go. It's a wedding not a halftime show. The ring, the dress, the honeymoon. The rest is just for show...congratulations early. That truck will happen when it's supposed to.
