Dirtautoguy Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 What are some random uses you have found for your car or truck with wd40 I love this stuff but it seems to attract dirt.
Dirtautoguy Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 My computer posted three of these topics sorry don't use this one either
Chris Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted 3x. Taken care of. But as for vehicle use, I have only used it on door hinges and the spare tire winch
KMGZ400 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 some people like to used it as plastic polish and trim polish.. dont really know why. i use WD40 for what its meant to be used for, lubricating things and i spray in on rusty things to help break them free
Chris Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 For rusty things I prefer a can of good ol PB
Dirtautoguy Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 I have used it as electrical cleaner but I used it very sparingly
KMGZ400 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 For rusty things I prefer a can of good ol PB i usually use PB too, always have that or WD40 lying around. they just came out with white lithium WD40 which is awesome for chains and lubrication things because it dosent dry up or just soak in like normal WD
Dirtautoguy Posted December 11, 2012 Author Posted December 11, 2012 I've heard of the new wd40 but never used it
Chris Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I lubed my tow mirrors with other brands of white lithium. makes them a lot easier to slide in and out
KMGZ400 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I lubed my tow mirrors with other brands of white lithium. makes them a lot easier to slide in and out lubed the plastic?
Chris Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Yes. sprayed a little on there while extended. Mine were hard to pull out and push in when they were new
KMGZ400 Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 i have only pulled mine out the day i got them and not once after that
Chris Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I had to a couple times when moving the travel trailer. The horse trailer is wide enough that normal mirrors cant be used, the tow mirrors are perfect when retracted
Chris Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I use it to lube some things. But to get stuck bolts out PB is the way to go
