I always keep a can of WD40 around. Good for squeaky tailgates, etc.

WD40 was also just used on every hinge in the house to be sure that nothing could potentially wake up a sleeping baby :)

Wd40 was made to displace water. Great for keeping stuff from rusting, it is not a very good lube.

Used to use it. Now I tend to use some off-brand white lithium that I got at Home Depot, or for coating the underside of the truck before winter, I use Fluid Film

WD40 = dust magnet. I have used it for mark removal such as magic marker (gotta love nieces and nephews). Does work well as a water displacer.

+1 for Kroil, Aerokroil and Silikroil. Excellent stuff. Used the heck outta their products over the years. I give Aerokroil as gifts cus' friends don't let friends use WD40....lol...jussst kidding.

WD40 works great to clean motorcycle chains. Spray on, use a soft brush to loosen up the mung, and wipe off. Then lubricate with a proper chain lube, and you're good to go!

I have used it to clean chains as mentioned above, I also use it as a water displacer on my Jeep. I spray the distributer and wires down along with the PCM wire connectors and PCM itself prior to wet off roading. I also will spray most of the Jeep down before a mud run, makes clean up a lot easier

I agree, thats the ONLY way to let WD40 near a chain!

I wonder if the aerosol WD40 is worse (dust attractant, longevity of coating, etc) than the stuff you buy by the gallon?
