Ok so i just got a set of Firestone air/helper bags and am now trying to find where to put the fill valves. So let me know where you put them. and should i have one fill valve and split to two bags or should they have their own valve? thanks

I had Air RIde bags on my old '99 Silverado and I ran each line to the plastic surround in the gas filler door. There was plenty of room to drill two small holes and install the Schrader valves. They were hidden from view and also protected from road grime.

You could also use a "T" fitting to attach the lines then have one valve to fill the bags. That makes for a quick fill of air. Separate or combined valves should work either way, but if you should ever load the truck to where there is more cargo weight on one side, separate valves will help in leveling the truck.

I used the T-connector and ran it to the rear license plate. I removed the top bolt and used the fill valve to hold the plate on.

I've had two trucks with bags. Behind the fuel door works well. I would keep them seperated. I carry a tall truck camper, with a single valve it lets air move side to side and enhances sway. With a TT one fill might be ok.

We just installed a Firestone air bag set today on the sons 08 we put a T in the line and put the fill valve behind the fuel door.

We put ours on the bumper also holding the license plate on. The 05 truck's plastic nuts for the license plate screws cracked apart so it worked out great for us. Easy to fill and check the pressure and hold the plate on.
