I went to Goodyear yesterday to get my new rancho quicklift installed... I let them do it so they could align also, thinking they wouldnt charge me a arm and a leg. Well they called me a hour after i dropped it off and they said i needed to replace my Right front hub (277.05 parts)(115.00 labor)(392.05).. then 2 lower ball joints(parts 69.99a joint 135 labor a side) 2 upper upper control arms w ball joints.(159.99 a side 72.00 labor a side) this is ridiclous. im not paying 1400 dollars for this work to be done.. Seems way overpriced.. HELP

How many miles on that thing? I call BS. I stay FAR FAR away from tire places. Take it to the dealer for a suspension check. Shouldn't cost more than $50 to have them give you a second opinion?

Get the parts and do it yourself, I had the same issues on my 2001 Silverado. Bad upper ball joint and inner tie rod end. I bought the new upper with ball joints for $100 each, and then both inner/outer tie rods and did it all at once.

My local shop wanted $600 in labor to just replace the one bad upper and one bad inner tie rod, I did it all in about 2 hours.

i just hit 105k. Taking for second opinion.. A buddy who used to work at good years shop.. He called BS also.. said thats how they always get extra money... Taking it by him today.. If some are out.. which is possible.. What are good replacement parts? i ran the 2.25 leveling kit on it at 40k

I try to stick with factory parts. Peace of mind knowing I have the right parts made for my truck, but a lot of ppl seem like moog. Maybe someone else can chime in on that one.

Had a second opinion.. Turns out goodyear told me the hub on the passenger side was out really the driver side hub is out.. all 4 ball joints could use replacing.. but i dont need arms like they said. just upper joints... This shop told me to bring the parts and he would install for 310.00 60 dollars a joint and 50 for the hub.? parts run about 200 dollars. this sound like a good deal?

Sounds like you got it all under control... Second opinions go a long way!!! Dont buy the 'house brand" parts, stay with MOOG and you will be fine.

all moog +1  i Will be getting alignment this afternoon late or in the morning .. 4 ball joints and my hub are being put in now. The reason all this was even found out was because i had my rancho quicklift installed.. after alignment ill post pics!... also.. what kind of block can i add to the back? im going with the rancho 9000 for the back shocks

Check your hub bearings, you may have one the gave out on you.
