Just a quick teaser

So after a WHOLE LOT of searching and debating I've decided the perfect body lift to add to my truck is the zone 1.5". It should put me at 40.25" from ground to fender lip at all 4 corners. I'm ordering it this weekend along with heated/power tow mirrors and some black steps. anyway here it is in the yard with jacks under it just to see what it looks like 1.5" taller. I can't wait :D

Sorry that its so dirty:

Its definitely looking like it will have a nice stance. Plus it looks like ill have the fender clearance to put another set of 305s on some wider wheels. The stance and some thing similar to the tire wheel combo on this truck is what I'm looking for

I decided on and ordered the 1.5. I'm sure, like the leveling kit, it won't be enough and in a year ill have stepped up to a real lift kit

I do really like the way the 1.5 looks with 33x12.50s. That's why I chose it

I hear ya, Amazing how on day 1 you love it. Then after a few months your like " I wanna go bigger" lol

I would love to lift my truck, but goosenecks and lifted truck don't get along so well.

Yeah I change my mind a lot so that doesn't help but I believe I'm going to be happy with this especially if I can find a deal on wheels and tires. I'm waiting to do the mirrors. Decided to get tickets to see travis tritt instead. You could always just get a second truck so you can lift one!

Quick question. Would a 2500hd reciever hitch tuck up to the bumper nicely with a 1.5" kit? I use my hitch to much to just ditch it and put it on when I need it...

The only lifts I would even consider for mine would have to keep factory knuckles, allow me to keep my rims, and keep CV and tie rod angles good. That means I would leave off the 2" level, so it would be a 4" lift. Also I'd want AAL and airbags instead of taller blocks. Then add better tie rods and front driveshaft. Which all in all... combined with fuel mileage on 33's, is a big chunk of change. Stock height it is.

Haha I feel ya I haven't reprogrammed my speedo so I don't know exactly what I'm getting for mpg. I'm showing 11.7 so that's like what 12.5 on these tires? I took a huge hit going from 265s to 305s

Well 99.4in vs 103.1in circumference... so not too big of a difference. The big tire should put your speedo 2-3 mph slower than your actual speed at 60 I think. So your mpg would be a few percent better than shown. One of my friends had a 2004 on 295's, the best he saw was 15mpg.

BTW, I get 14-18mpg depending on conditions. That will go down with the weight of 10 ply tires though... but the heavier tires will pay for themselves in money and time by not getting flats.
