What is it? What is it for?

I have 3 boys, 2 are loacted in Minnesota and one in Southern California, and I'm located in Northern California. We use ICQ to stay in contact, and have  2,3 and 4 way conversations as often as we can. It really works quite well.

ICQ is a program. Your number is like your screen name.

Go to this link http://web.icq.com/index and click on the "ICQ 2000b get ICQ for free" icon to download it.  Just follow the instructions, it's pretty easy.  You can then go to the "Members List" here and click on the ICQ flower near their name and send them a message.

I looked at it and I already have MSN Messenger which doesn't require a download, so I think I'll just stick with that.

I had ICQ, got rid of it.  AOL or MSN messanger works so much better.  On ICQ I kept getting these crazy freaks on there, finally just said the heck with it and clicked delete.

When my nephew lived with us, he had MSN Messenger and I liked ICQ alot better.  I guess everyone has their own preferences.  I've never had any freaks bother me on it.  Maybe they just havn't got around to it yet. LOL

I have AOL instant messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and ICQ.  They all have their pros and cons.  I personally like AOL the best, but I'm sure that is only because I have used it the most.  ICQ works really well, but I did have some problems with it disconnecting me alot when I was at school on the campus network.  It may have been the firewall, but AOL and Yahoo worked fine.  Other than I've had no problems from it.  It's a pretty good program, and it keeps me in touch with Tom.

Well, I went in to one of those AOL chatrooms today, I'm regretting doing so. The room was about NASCAR, and out of the 50 ppl there 3 of us wanted to talk NASCAR. The rest kept ask ASL.  Then I started getting "Prostitution" IMs (LOL) from ppl like, "Sugamama101" and "WETnWILD". Never again will I do such a thing.
