"New" stuff at dealership

While at the dealership today I was walking around looking at different rigs and saw them pull my truck back out side, and as I started back to the Service department a guy pulled up in what I thought was a Dmax because of the hood scoop on it. But as I had to walk around it because he blocked the door I saw that it had Vortec stickers on it not the Dmax??? As I looked at the tailpipe it had the little tip on it and was not a diesel, I did not know that they were using the scoop on all of the 13 2500 trucks?

Also I looked at the bed and saw that where my truck has openings around the inside top for some reason that this truck had plugs in the holes?? So I go into parts and ask about them and sure enough for $65.00 I can get a set of 9 plugs to fill the holes in my truck bed, great one more thing to order. :jester:

All they manange to do for me is to get the inside of my bed dirty and dusty!!! :jester:

weird.. my truck came with those "plugs". Had the place I got my bedliner sprayed just go over them.. only to find out I had to pull the front ones out when I installed my tonneau cover. ended up drilling a hole out of them instead of trying to cut through it.

I added 2 plugs to the two round holes inside our beds, by the top of the tailgate, on my 2009 before the bedliner was sprayed in.

I added these same to plugs to my 2012 Sierra before I installed my bed rug too.

I found a round rubber plug on the inside top of our rear wheel openings & they are the exact size as these holes inside the bed. They snapped right in. GM PN# 22579564. They list for $4.43 each.

Southco, since 2011 the Dmaxes had them for sure, (I hated mine) and I know that on the 2012 only the Dmaxes had them. I guess this was the first 2013 that I had seen up close to realize that it was not a Dmax but a gas truck.

Bad Bowtie, the parts guy said that a set of 9 for my bed was about $45.00 so I put them on order. :jester:

But like another guy above mentioned, I bet the plugs you've ordered are the oval "cargo management system" plugs.... :happysad:

I looked and all the 2500's (gas and diesel) had them starting in 2011. I was browsing the used ads online and found '11 and '12 gas and diesels with them. The '09 and '10 gas did not. I like they way the hood scoop or bulge looks on them....
