You might need to use some type of swirl remover.3M makes a product for dark cars.I don't know what you mean by streaks.Might be that when you are putting wax or polish on that it is not going on even.Might need to use different aplicator.

Dude I have been detailing cars for over 20 years-I hate to say 25 because now I know my youth is gone- but here it is straight out. You will never get a pure true swirl free shine. In the shade it looks mint, catch it in the sun from the right angle and you will want to run away as far as you can. If you get it decent the next time you wash it the whole process starts all over again.Frustrating isn't it? A TRUE NIGHTMARE-Unless you are gonna make a career out of caring for your truck just take off your mods and get another one in a lighter color. I am serious. Learn to love White,Silver,Pewter. Either that or just stop caring-I did.

:flag: Good call on the "stop caring" part...I have a dark green color, and I am so #### careful, even when washing.  I always clay bar it and wax it, but it still has trace amounts of swirls in it.  It's not bad at all, barely even noticeable even in the sun, but they are still there.

Wax the vehicle again, one area at a time, and buff out the second coat before it dries.  You may want to rinse the truck before the second coat to cool the surfaces.

I saw a trick for removing swirl marks on a Spike TV (was TNN) show a few years back that works SUPER!!

Corn Starch .....

Wax the vehicle and when done take a clean cloth, cover it in corn starch (shake off excess) and wipe over again. Swirl marks are all gone. I use it on my black corvette all of the time! Sometimes if I don't shake enough off initally I have to use the blowgun and compressor to remove the excess CS from the car but that's about it.

Hope it helps!

Things to help keep your cars finish as swirl free as possible, good quality 100% cotton towels, never use a sponge, use a 100% cotton wash mitt, or 100% cotton towels for washing, do not use abrasive waxes (unless repairing scratches and swirls) , do not wash your car or truck in the sun. Black, dark green and dark blue color cars or trucks need extra care, keep a good coat of wax on your car or truck, all these things will help. :banghead:
