Identify this dash switch......

I have a 2010 Silverado 1500 Work truck with LS package. It is a 4x4 with 5.3 and 6 speed auto. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what this switch does. I bought the truck used and originally thought that the previous owner had something installed etc. But the switch looks factory to me yet has no markings. I have yet to check my owners manual.

The switch is located next to the drivers side air vent above the headlamp controls. See photo..

Thanks for the help

That's definitely aftermarket. You have any aftermarket lights or were there any previously installed? Or maybe an aftermarket alarm system?

The previous owner used the truck to follow "wide loads" (Wind turbines) down the highway on flat bed18 wheelers. He had a 2 way radio and there is a harness that goes into the bed of the truck which I assumed was used with flashing yellow caution lights or something. The harness is not connected to anything now so I am thinking, if anything, the switch may be used to control whatever was plugged into the harness. It looks like it is part of a factory install that is what threw me for a loop.

The WT came with an option for the lights to talk off, but I don't think that is factory, but it could be

It is aftermarket, the previous owner did something for sure.

Maybe it's the NOS switch (j/k).

ha ha ha... You guys crack me up... Not really going to worry about it. Maybe I will upgrade the panel with the DIC as Scooby suggested. If he is correct!

He is- And it's a great MOD for the money on trucks that don't have this feature. It's all "plug & play"...

Or do you mean "plug & pray"

Can someone post a link form the site for the DIC mod? I am sure there are step by step directions or a discussion somewhere out there.
