new dealer service

I took my truck in to a different dealer this morning for a oil change and to look at the "clunk" that the other dealer said could not be fixed.  When he called me back this afternoon they not only fixed the clunk but replaced a bearing in the steering shaft.  I already had the steering shaft lubed once but that did not fix the problem, they said they will just replace the bearing.  Also, said they felt a slight shudder in the transmission and would fix that too.  I thought I was just going to have to live with these problems because my dealer could never get them fixed properly.  I guess I have a new dealer now!

WOW, that's unusual I think - you're not in SE Michigan are you?  I'd go there if you are.

Actually, my dealer is pretty good, but they usually don't volunteer to fix things under warranty that easily.

Sounds like you've found a gold mine!!  :thumb:  :thumb:

I will never buy another vehicle from the local dealer because of bad service experiances back in '87.  I'm thrilled with the service dept that I buy my trucks from in the next town over...  :wtf:
