I have a 07 NBS Silverado WT. I dont have power locks and its very easy to stick a hanger through the window and pull up on the door lock. Does anyone know whats out there to change/cover the door locks from being so easy to open Thanks!

Maybe one of you tech guys can tell me how hard would it be to install this? Or recommend a better set.

It depends on how great of an electrician you are really; What might be easy for one, doesn't mean it will be easy for you. Will probably need to drill and mount the motors, run the wires to a centralized location, probably under the dash on the drivers side for convenience, then run a power wire to a constant source.

Power locks have the same lever/pull or whatever you want to call it- I'm not sure I follow how adding power locks will make the truck more secure?

Understandable! I made two different posts under the same thread. I didnt want to start a new thread as I have one dealing with a similar issue. I figure if Im going to attack the locking system I may as well add power locks. Whats your suggestion?

I can't help much on the power lock install- I'd say it shouldn't be too horrible to snake the wires through the existing door harness to that solenoid. The trick will be mounting it where it won't be in the way of the window regulator. You could probably grab power from the wire loom that is left under the dash for a brake controller (that might only be there if you have the tow pkg.). You might also get some helpful info here:

In terms of overall security, I honestly thinking you're being a little overly worried- I can't say I recall reading anyone here having their truck broken into that way. If you leave the windows up then there is no risk beyond any other vehicle type where a wedge can be used to force a door slightly.

I do have the 7 pin tow package. I was wondering if I should try to get Door panels with power windows and doors already in them?
