Transmission fluid change

I did a swap another way that you MIGHT wanna try. BUT, it requires a little under truck mechanics. I have a friend that has a lift in his garage, and we took off old pan [to be replaced w/ B&M 4L80 cast alum. pan w/ drain plug- holds 3 more qts.]. Supported the engine, Then unbolted the tranny bolts, and bolts from crossmember. Then used 'rod stock' [from Home Depot] cut to 10 " ea. made 4 of them and screwed them thru tranny bolt holes to engine block. then removed all wires/ cables, etc. Then eased tranny back . That gives u enough room to remove the torque converter, and drain[ or replace] converter and the front seal. Then filled up new converter, and put back on tranny shaft, and slid tranny back to engine block. replaced the studs one by one with original tranny bolts.

The spread sheet says 7 changes to get to 100% so wouldn't it be easy to get a dipstick tube pump and suck the fluid out 6 times and then remove pan and filter on the 7th time?
