Saw this hanging from truck

I pulled in my driveway to see this hanging from my truck. Any ideas what it is or where it belongs?

Could that be the connection for the EVAP for the gas tank?

Not sure but will go take a look. I didn't have much time to investigate.

BINGO! Its the evap.vent solonoid

Does that end attatch anywhere? I traced the line back to the tank, but not sure where this end goes, if anywhere? Thanks for the help.

It's the filter box for the EVAP solenoid. It's supposed to be secured above the transmission. GM figured that this location is more dust free than other locations
