Not to get off topic here, but there is a GM TSB for that concern "gnet158".

 

GM has a new design microphone for low reception, low volume talkers, exterior noise, etc. I've actually had mine replaced in my 2012 under warranty. I wish I had a copy of the TSB #, but it appears I threw it away after my truck was fixed....

I've been lucky apparently. 09', 11', and now a 13' and everyone says the BT audio sounds fine. Even better than when using just the phone by itself.

 

Hmmm, come to think of it, I had the same phone for all 3 trucks. Just got a new phone yesterday, will report if anyone says the difference is noticeable.

Any update on this? My Bluetooth shows I'm connected on the phone, truck does its thing on the dash, yet it won't work 50% of the time. My phone is a Droid Bionic. I had these problems on Gingerbread and Jelly Bean.

Talked to a few people now on the new phone (who have usable opinions, lol) and they said it sounds ok to them. This is a GS4 phone. Did the talking with the windows up on rural highways @ 55 mph.

 

If it helps, I usually keep the phone in the center console pocket in front of the climate controls or on the flip down console.

Ive yet to have one android that would connect and stay connected to my 2011, dealer always tells me its the phone grrrrrr. galaxy s3 and a new htc should connect

I was just around some family members with S3's, I could have checked to see how theirs did. I won't be back over their way for a month or more now though.
