Ok which would you buy?

Volant or UPD?

And why?

Thanks

I'm one of the few that have a Volant.  The one thing nice about the Volant's for 1500's is it has a snorkel that reachs down behind the front airdam to really catch cool air.  The Volant's for 2500's just pick it up at the hole underneath the airbox.

Any intake you get will net you roughly the same performance wise, so go with whichever fits your criteria the best.  Looks and price being the important things.

I remeber you talking about getting a body lift at one time Ryan, so if you're still thinking about it, the air duct for the Volant won't fit like when it was stock because after the lift, the frame blocks most of that opening.  Just a heads up.   :jester:

It's the drivers side, but the passengers side looks the same, just mirrored.

bodylift?  I dont know its 50/50 right now.

With that scoop wont it pick up dirt and other stuff (i know the intake has a filter but it would have to be changed more regularly and there is a grat chance for dirt to get into the engine)

Also what kinda filter does it have?

Yup. it'd suck in lots of stuff, but lots of stuff gets sucked to the filter anyway.  You'd just have to clean it more often.

Mine came with a blue K&N style filter but it wasn't a K&N.  I don't remember what brand it was.  It's redish now though after having cleaned and re-oiled it.
