Rear sliding window on 2007 Silverado

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone on this forum has attempted to repair the rear sliding window on the trucks..mine seems to have broken and was wondering how hard is it to do myself and thoughts thank you in advance.

I took the assembly out once just to check if there is anything I can do without selling the dog to get spare parts.

The hardest part is to remove the rear seats (w/o helper).

And to open the plastic channel for the cable w/o breaking it.

The little pin what connects the cable to the window is broken. That caused the cable to get messed up on the pulley and damaged the pulley case. (Sorry for my lack of English. Is kinda hard to explain for me... ).

The guidance (fair-lead?) of the cable is fu**ed....

But to answer your question: a little mechanical skills and patience and you have no problems to replace it.

Where exactly is the plastic channel you are referring too? Seems mine broke down below cause my cable is sticking up in the back window like it gave way at the bottom..does that make sense...

Also I needed to know where you gain access to re-connect the cable to the regulator which is what I presume is what opens and closes the rear slider window ?
