EFI Live tuning is FINALLY available for the LML platform, thought I would let some guys know!! Much better option that using h&s, most tuners I know of are selling autocals as of the other day!!

 

FWIW a tuner that I know have successfully made clean running, lowish EGT tunes that put down a stunning 550rwhp and well over 1000ft-lbs with only str8 pipe, CAI and lift pump!! The LML is very capable in stock form, I know some guys own them in here. Thought I'd share!!

I have been watching the LML tuning just not ready to jump off that bridge at this time, but who knows what may happen in the next few days!!!! The only thing that I could ask for would be the milage like they got back a few years ago, on the last trip I made with mine on flat ground in Eastern AR and Western TN I saw a high of 20.7 MPG at 75 + MPH. In town milage is about 15.5 to 16.0 depending on how much it idles before take off in mornings or to cool off in afternoons. :jester:

Kory Willis has been punishing an LML for awhile now with a big 72mm VGT, twin CP4 and some other stuff. It's been going down the track into the 12's in a Denali LOL and te motor is still goin strong!! LML rotating assembly are the toughest yet!!

Lmm/lbz can do the same but heat up quicker. My buddy dynoed 530rwhp and 980tq with only lift pump, straight pipe, tune and CAI. Tranny lasted 2 months LOLOLOLOL

what kind of tune can you get with an stock LLY with exhaust

 

Well LLY's need an LBZ turbo mouthpiece or the AFE one because the factory one is junk causes slow spool and high EGT's with a hot tune. Tuning an LLY you need mouthpiece, CAI, air to air pipe, and straight pipe exhaust. Lift pump is wise on any Duramax, just for the better filters let alone smoother idle and more available fuel. If you have proper supporting mods you could turn it up to about 400rwhp and still be tranny safe (depending on ur foot). They have handle as much because the 5 speed allison isn't as stout as the 6 speed. Even the new ones, it isn't wise to go more than 450. You will eventually break something.

That's the best way IMO kinda the way I have it. LLY's are good just the worst ones for EGT's, but a $1000 or so will fix that...

My roommate had one, no lift pump just straight pipe and CAI. Uploaded 450hp tune it drained the rails in seconds, threw low rail pressure codes like crazy and EGT's would peg 1600 degree gauge in seconds. LOL
