New PCV valve?

Has anyone that has experienced oil consumption tried the new "fixed orifice" PCV valve?  If so did it help?

Helped my 2001 HD 6.0. Uses 1 qt about every 3000 miles. So did my 81 305 from the day I drove it off the lot.

My 02 Tahoe had the new design PCV in it from the factory. I've experienced no oil consumption on my 5.3L.

My 2000 Z71 was using about 1 quart every 1800 miles.  I  complained to the dealer and they installed the new style pcv valve.  This dramatically reduced the oil consumption.  I no longer need to add oil between changes at 3000 miles.

mine wasnt using oil but i did switch (only one available) with no problems

Does anyone know if that part can be purchased at a regular auto parts store? Like AutoZone?  Or is it something that only can be purchased from the dealership?

solo autozone or any other auto parts place (around here) doesnt stock AC Delco parts other than oil filters.  I got mine from partszoneonline - link to the left of the page.  They were like $2 each
