When will the 6.2 1500 Silverado/Sierra be available?

Hello Everyone! I personally went on GMC website today and built my own 2014 Sierra Denali with a 6.2L engine. If any one is experiencing any issues regarding building your own vehicle, please let me know.

Well big delay announced 10-28

Denali-4 weeks

6.2-4 weeks

After a little over a week of production they have stopped without much of an explanation. Parts shortages would seem implausible so soon unless they found defects and are waiting for updated parts. There have been reports of rear window, rear axle, seat rattle issues. I don't know if I should be depressed by the delay or happy if the vehicle is getting improvements.

This whole staggered rollout GM is doing is about a mess.

My 2014 has been pretty trouble free I must say, but my friend has a fully loaded SLT has lane departure, seat clicking, tranny, rear end, and leaky shock issues all together lol!

 

I feel bad for him but its weird mine seems fine all around- knock on wood. Mine has 3000 miles his only 800- these all popped up right away

Sounds like a delay is the right choice so they can get the bugs worked out. Looks like a March '14 buy for me now.

I just ordered a new Silverado 2500 LTZ and the 6.2 engine is still not available. Had to go with the 6.0.

The 2500s won't get the 6.2 ever I bet. It's always been the 6.0 for years

You won't see the 6.2l in the 2500 because of the aluminum block.
