07 Silverado classicClock Spring replacement w/ controls

Well, while doing a simple repair on my truck I broke the clock spring. I know this was really stupid, the harder part will be justifying to the wife why am going to have to spend the money for this new clock spring on my truck. But anyway, what is done is done. I am replacing the clock spring on my truck with steering wheel controls, which makes it more of an issue. Since I have all the controls in place already, will this be like a plug and play or will have to input codes to fix the problem. I have it torn all the way down already with the clock spring just hanging there. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did thr truck come with the controls? If so, the correct clock spring(expensive one) will be plug and play. If you swapped controls in then programming has to be done. The part number to use is 26101829

Thanks. I appreciate it. I found it for $400 at gmpartsdirect.com and $650 at the dealer. I am going to try a junk yard tomorrow and see if I can get it any cheaper. Live and learn.
