Leather question?

One of my friends is going to order a Silverado LTZ when the 6.2 plus max trailering is available. He was asking me about the difference in the leather between the smooth and the perforated on the build it now tool. I can't help since I have cloth. Is there a quality difference? I know you need the perforated for the cooled seats but he's not planning on getting that option. Thanks guys.

I can't speak for the perforated/cooled seats, but the smooth leather seats in my truck are quite comfortable.

If he's not planning on getting the cooled seats then I'd get the smooth leather. The perforations are to help the air flow out of the seat with the cooling option.

I have the perforated leather/heated/cooled. The seats are very comfortable but that has nothing to do with the leather - more the structure/shape/foam. I'm very happy with the leather quality, seems much more durable than the leather in my '11 acura mdx (which it should be....). My only concern with the perforated leather was cleaning if dirt ever gets in the holes, so I'm keeping the dog crated on the nice flat floor in the back!

Thanks, didn't know that since you can build them that way.
