Transit time

I have a 2014 Crew Cab on order (RFZP7G). It was Shipped out on 9/17/13 and showed that it should be delivered to dealer on 10/4. It showed up in dealer stock and on Chevy tracking shows delivered to dealer..... But no truck. All calls by the dealer to Chevy are that the truck is in Jacksonville Fl and being delivered soon.

Should I be concerned???? I mean how long should it take to get a truck that was ordered on a truck and 2.5 hours away to the dealer?????

Advice?

I just checked your tracking on chevy.com and it says in transit. Mine has been sitting in Birmingham since 10/7 so I feel your pain

It's only been a week Brandon. Might not be a whole trailer heading to Preston Hood or Award yet

Dealer gave a 72 hr time frame from arrival to Bham to delivery normally. I'm just happy I didn't get hit with the 1600 price hike, built on 29 Sept

Lucky I guess. I would go to the dealer and figure out what the hell is going on

Been in contact on the phone getting updates, every truck they get in he checks if it's on there. Today is the EDD so we'll see, good things come to those who wait.....,

This happened to me in 1998 when I was waiting for delivery of a '99 Tahoe to Starling Chevrolet in Kissimmee.

It turned out that once the Tahoe was loaded onto a truck at the Jacksonville yard it was designated in the system as shipped. However, for reasons unknown, it was unloaded from the truck before it left the yard. After that, the Tahoe went into no-man's land. The dealer had to make many calls but finally someone in Jacksonville went out and found the Tahoe and got it onto another truck. I don't know how long it would have sat there if I had not pestered the dealer over and over. It was not the dealer's fault but I had no other avenue to pursue.

Just ask the dealer to try to find out where it is, it is unlikely that it was dropped at the wrong dealer and it is probably still in Jacksonville.

Check the dealers body shop.

Years ago I ordered a truck and they said will be here this week but never showed up. Late Friday afternoon I drop by the dealer and when driving around the building I see my truck sitting in the body shop (door open) being wet sanded. It was damaged in transit and they lied to me telling me it did not arrive yet. I talked witht tech and he had been working on it for 2 days and was going to paint that pm.

I actually think this is what happened in my case too but they gave me a very convincing story and I never was the wiser.

Well.... It been an interesting week. My dealer has made alot of calls about this issue and has gotten the same lame answers about where the vehicle is and that it is "Bayed" in Jacksonville. And how it needs to be there 3 days...Blah Blah Blah. It been 12 days since the last call to them and 1 MONTH since it shipped. Please someone from Chevy Customer Service chime in on this issue.

I mean wow. Two different VDC operators 12 days apart gave the same answers to the New car manager and no truck.

When this is all over I will post the name of the dealer and explain how they have really gone above and beyond with this issue. They have put me in a loaner and kept me in the loop ever step of the way.

But chevrolet transport that another story!!!!
