My attempt at dipping bowties

I just completed plasti dipping my bowties, I used white and then pearlizer to get the color to as close to White diamond as possible.

 

First attempt, I was too impatient. I had epic failure.

 

Truck is dirty, I think it matches pretty Damn good.

Thanks. As I stated earlier, I was impatient and had to do it twice.

 

My experience:

1. The spray tip once sprayed leaves many imperfections (looks like Sh!t)

2. Don't try and accelerate the drying process. I tried a blow dryer (no heat) on my first attempt.

3. Follow the directions on the can, If it says wait 30 min between coats, then do so. Once you spray it it will look terrible, but over the 30 minute waiting period it flows out on it's own.

 

I did 3 coats of color followed by 2 coats of pearlizer and waiting about 45 min between coats.
