No market there for a 20k dealer add on to a 50k truck.

I don't think it's a money thing- in fact I'm guessing more $$$ in the northeast per capita than anywhere else in the country - I just think its a lack of interest. Not as much open land, and where there is open land near me (western ma) guys who offload typically doing it in beaters. I guess a big thing as others mentioned is the laws restricting height n vehicles, so when you do jack it up you stick out like a sore thumb.

What you do see alot of up here despite the weather are motorcycles and muscle cars- both heavily modded. Also modded diesels (not jacked)

Whenever I see a "monster truck" it's usually beat down. Like I said I notice lambos more often than the nice jacked up trucks.

We sell them as fast as we can build them and put them on the lot. It's from a $8-12k addendum on the sticker depending upon what we actually do to each unit. Guess I am glad that we live in the south where it's more common in the country(or city for that matter) to see a lifted or leveled vehicle than not. We have a lot of hunting and mud here and the look is what people want as well. Dealers would be stupid not to do their own lifts as we do rather than let the money leave their house. I almost bought one of our lifted 14's but I ended up doing the level kit for now. Thinking of trading back in for a 6.2L since I am not thrilled with the 5.3L when I tow like I used to with my old Hemi Ram. I should have waited, but hey sometimes you get impatient and do a stupid move! We have an in house suspension tech, an upholstery tech,a window tint and exterior tech & a 12volt electronics tech. Here's an example of one of our rides....7957953162x640.jpg8003304467x640.jpg

Do you guys make sure the headlights are aimed right? Somehow my dealer or installer didn't think it was important to recalibrate my head light aim after the lift install

Hey, can you tell me in greater detail about your problem on your '14 chevy w/ pro comp lift? Can you tell me what ever came of it? What sort of noises did you hear or what was felt in 4wd? Did the front diff fail? Did pro comp and/or Gm stand behind their product? The reason I ask is because I am having a very similar problem with my 14 w/ pro comp lift. Trying to diagnose. Does anyone else know of anything they can share? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

The problem is the design of the Pro-Comp Lift kit itself. It wasn't designed correctly. With the lift, it changes the angle of the differential and the oil sits differently and one bearing doesn't get oiled when you activate 4x4. Pro-Comp is changing the design of the lift and adding brackets to put the differential back in the stock angle so that the bearing will get oiled so that you can use 4x4. Pro-Comp is also paying for everything but its been 6 weeks and I have not had my truck.

It is good they are fixing it for you, the next problem will be that they rotate the diff to keep proper angles on the other parts of the drive train. By putting it back to factory angles to save the diff, other parts are going to wear quicker I would think :(

I have been pondering different lift kits for my new truck when I get it but I am thinking that a level kit is as far as I want to go now.... Plus my aftermarket wheels that I am transfering off my 2010 won't fit a bigger lift ha ha

any more news on this? anyone with any more experience with this kit on the '14s. Mine went to GMC and they said the front diff checked out just fine. all the noises and vibrations I am experiencing is purely due to extreme driveline angles. some went away with the install of the CV front drive line but a lot remains in 2wd and especially in 4wd. Probably taking the lift off, hoping pro comp stands by it, does the right thing and buys it back or I can sell it outrights

For your sake I hope they honor it and take it back. Not sure you'll have much luck selling something that caused you issues. Just saying....

Not in MA. Probably down south and midwest, maybe parts of CA, but seeing a lifted truck in MA is rarer than seeing a lambo. That's because all the northeast states have worthless, restrictive inspection/lift law regulations. NH law has no wording that would ban a lifted truck but they can and do write tickets and since justice is given to who spend the most, not who is correct, the state wins if you try to fight.
Headlights and taillights and bumper heights are measured in NH, so that is where "height modification" comes into play.Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk
