Who has it and what's the review? I emailed vendor and his emails do not make it to me. I only know he emailed me through a survey of the service I got. Vendor stated it ia available for 2014 and people are using beta version. What is beta? I notice that some camaro users are comparing versions 1 through 4. How can this units firmware be updated? Usb cable?

Beta is a testing phase. And the firmware probably is only updated using an interfacing device that has an adapter for an ODBII port then hooking it up to a computer and installing the updates.

Blackbear tuning was great! I actually had them tune my old 2002 as well as my dads 2007 suburban. They really know there stuff. They might be more expensive. But they know how to make a Chevy motor purr like a kitten. I was able to get 17 mpg on the highway with my 02 and that was with a lift and bit wheels and tires. I never had it dyno tuned but it was putting down some power.

I'll probably do a blackbear again any day.

I have BB. I would try the range first and see what it does for drivability. Then BB if not happy. I did a mild 89 octane tune. Only problem I see is torque mgt on the 900s and I assume the '14s is either on or off. No way to go say 70% tq mgt off...

Im pretty sure the TM can be detuned on the new trucks as well. But maybe I will send a message over to the guys at BB to ask.

BB was the one that told me T/Q control on or off. Maybe I misunderstood or just the 900s??

Torque management is the programming that cuts power from the engine to prevent driveline shock/abuse. The consensus seems to be that you can safely remove fair amounts of it without harming the transmission or other components. Disabling it will make the truck more responsive.

Anyone get the range yet? I was wondering if there are any problems with it. I read in some vehicles it can mess with the stabilitrack.

From what I've gathered I think the Range device for the 2014 trucks is in a "beta" testing mode. Not available to purchase from their website, but some people have them and are testing them out for Range. Or something like that.

I have been "Beta testing" the Range AFM for about 7 months now and its worked very well. Just last week my engine light came on and I got a "Service power steering" and "Service 4wd", but both were working fine. I drove the truck home, parked it and removed the Range. About 30 minutes later I started the truck back up and the check engine light was off and i did not receive any messages regarding the power steering and 4wd. I then e-mailed Range about what happened and within 2 days I had a tracking number for a updated replacement Range unit being sent to me. The moral of the story is, although there are going to be glitches because of how new these trucks are, the people from Range have been very good about answering my questions and sending me an updated version with no questions asked!!!

Note: I am Beta testing for the 4.3...
