Mike1220 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I think they'd be the same for a 1500. The 2500/3500 might have a slightly different hood contour. The thing about those and the roof mounted lights is that the hood becomes a large reflector and reduces your night vision, unless it's flat black. White would be the worse case. Darker colors might be ok. That's why headlights are on the front of a vehicle. A buddy of mine (member PDV127) has a summit white all terrain and a 55" curved bar mounted above the windshield. He said the light reflects off the hood but with how much light it puts out, it doesn't bother your sight at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PirateDiesel Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Sounds like your lights are tight with minimal "spillage". Also what color is your hood? White with white hardtop. The key is the spot beam, and the angle in which they are oriented at.
613 IRDM A/T Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 This is a picture of my dry fitting the light bar and the mounting bracket. And the finished bracket mounted to rad supports. I cut the corners to allow the bracket to fit behind the plastic shroud. I vinyl wrapped the aluminum bracket. I will add photos of the finished product behind the grille, I am extremely happy with the fit and finish and the light output is awesome...couldn't care one little bit that the highbeams suck in these trucks now 1
Wormydog1724 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Can you measure the diagonal supports please? I need to know that the circumference is please.
613 IRDM A/T Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Can you measure the diagonal supports please? I need to know that the circumference is please. My truck is back together now but I am pretty sure those rad supports were 1" square if i remember correctly.

Spurshot Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 You may be able to reach in there and measure them from the front. 1
613 IRDM A/T Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Yeah I tried but couldn't get the tape measure to sit just right to get an exact measurement looked like between 7/8 and 1 inch so I didn't want to give the wrong sizing. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997R using Tapatalk 2
Wormydog1724 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I tried too. I might have found something that will work. Thanks for the help.

613 IRDM A/T Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 That is a 32" curved light bar. It fits perfectly and the 2" space between the bars in the grille are exactly the same as the thickness of the lights. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997R using Tapatalk 2

iicoolbreeze Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Had a local fab shop make me some custom brackets for these rigid D2's. Didn't like the rigid ones. Wanted something more appealing. These guys are willing to full on CNC aluminum ones if enough people would order them. These are steel brackets but more than likely going to have them make some better ones where they can do a full one piece bracket. Edited February 17, 2015 by iicoolbreeze 2
