Looking to trade my truck in for another truck

Well I have decided I want a 4x4 now and a crew cab. I am going to do this probably in the next 2 months.

 

I'm really looking at f150 ecoboosts or possibly a dodge ecodiesel when they come out.

 

I was going to look at GMC again too, but I'm not sure what I'm going to buy LOL gonna test em all.

 

I might buy a used one to save some cash.

 

Any opinions on the other 2 truck brands out there?

Well I decided to go with a ford ecoboost. This has been a great forum for my truck I will probably still hang around since I work on so many gmcs at work.

Congrats I suppose. Doesn't help when GM asks too much for new trucks. Its a shame. Hopefully you won't have any of the turbo issues they are known for.

I am looking for a cc for sure, possibly xtr or a fx4.

 

My friend keeps trying to talk me into a platinum LOL.

 

I have talked to some people who have those and they are reseaonably priced as well.

All brands have some issue or another. I am not worried. Gm is good still just decided to buy a ford this time.

Ford is not much cheaper than GM when you compare apples to apples.

if i was gonna get a ford i would stay away from the eco. rather have the 6.2.

 

they are still great trucks though, cant go wrong.

A teacher at my school had a 2012 ecoboost and traded it off because he got better gas mileage with his 2010 silverado with flexfuel capability

 

I have to agree to go for the 6.2 instead (in a raptor)

At least go with the 5.0. IMO a better engine than fords 6.2 or the ecoboost.

the 5.0 is a great motor too.. sounds really good. cant go wrong with a 5.0 or 6.2... can go wrong with the eco

I drove an ecoboost.... Didn't drive bad but the XLT Stereo sucked and I really didn't want the complexity of the ecoboost in the long haul.... Good Luck!

Well we recieved a new order of the new style trucks. I've throughly tested them, I am not impressed enough to go with another GM truck, even though it would benefit me to buy the same truck I work on ford just is a better truck at this juncture. Ill post pics of my purchase when I receive it. I'm a ecobooster now.
