Hey I recently put the new style tow mirrors on my truck and am looking to vinyl wrap the chrome pieces to color match them. Has anyone used and found a wrap that is pretty close to the silver ice metallic color yet?

Not sure on wrap but someone earlier in this thread used plastidip with a white base and then a silver over that on his bowtie and from the pic it looked like a good match. Wonder if that'd work and stick to chrome?

Oh okay and how did the color end up matching? It looks pretty good in pictures, how is it in person?

Looks great, I'd like to see more pics of that wrapped bumper to see how well it matches outside. Been thinking of this myself.

Color matching was pretty spot on. You wouldn't know it was wrapped just by looking at it.

Thanks for all the great info any links on the wrap I have been looking and cannot find anything on it. Also what kind of shop did the work because I want to see if one is by me and see if I can purchase wrap from them. Thanks again

No links. I'll shoot the guy a message and see what he says. He even commented on his page saying it was gloss metallic silver. He just opened up shop so there won't be any other shops connected to his. Here is a link to some shops in your area. They typically have samples that they will color match to when you go in the first time.

Got the powder-coated steel black side steps put on yesterday. Best part about it, they were free. The dealership who transferred it to the one I bought it from, screwed up - put it on the invoice as included with the truck, but they weren't included. End result - I got them for free, and now my dealership is owed about $500 by the other one. Gonna stop by a detail place today, look into getting my chrome emblems dipped black.
