All you get with the navigation update is the data for new roads and points of interest. It is not a feature or software update for operational issues, just data. I don't know about the buildings although I seem to remember something about different views and 3D?

Maps on my 16 are out of date by 2 years in 4 locations so far-Idaho, Nevada, Utah. Surprised me that they weren't more current. Maybe it's cause we are out West, ha ha. But using Android Auto I'll never go back to the factory Nav. Google maps are so easy to use and they even show road construction started a few months ago.

I'm surprised that the GMC version doesn't have these theme options that you guys are talking about.

I have the Mylink in my Cruze, and it doesn't really have any features as far as customization either. I'm suprised the trucks don't offer a lot more.

An easy way aroubd this would be to allow android app on radio to allow mirrorlink. This way you can use ur phone as display. Did it with the pioneer appradio 3 in my suburban
