Placed my order for my Silverado tonight.

Well I finally got my Silverado ordered today. I got a 2014 crew cab short box 4X4 LTZ Z71 with the sunroof, driver alert, navigation, heated and cooled seats, Trailer brake controller, led bed lighting, 6.2L engine, Tungsten Metallic, with the black 5 spoke 22" wheels. Now for the long 6-8+ week wait for it to arrive.

Lol. Congrats on the truck order. Hopefully the dealer didn't tell you 6 to 8 weeks and youd have it. Most of us that ordered 6.2s have waited over 8 weeks and the trucks are just now being built, my guess would be a MIN of 12 week wait. Check out the 3100 topic to see the current wait times.

I heard all the plants are closed for the holidays and will resume production in Jan 2014.

GM plants will be closed, GM closes the plants for 2 weeks around Christmas each year.

No closure in Mexico where the trucks are built. Don't know about the truckers.
